Aim:
The aim of this course is to increase care workers understanding of their role in relation to medication management and administration.
Objectives:
Care workers who complete this course will:
• Increase their awareness of the key legislation and guidelines pertaining to
medication management and administration
• Understand the scope of the care workers role in relation to medication
management and administration
• Appreciate the policies of their employer in relation to medication management and
administration
• Become familiar with the ‘5 Rights’ of Medication Management
• Increase their understanding of how to react should an error occur
